Our reflections on London

I was in London for the third time. This time I visited an unusual place - The Globe Theater.
I saw the theatre play called “The Oresteia” written by Ajschylos. I used to imagine this place many times but now I finally know how it looks like. It was a brilliant experience. Next to The Globe theater there is the Tate Gallery. I went to see the exhibition there. Watching pictures of Picasso, Dali and Warhol made a great impression on me.

W Londynie byłam po raz trzeci. Tym razem zwiedziłam niezwykłe miejsce – Teatr Globe.
Widziałam przedstawienie pod tytułem “Oresteja” napisane przez Ajschylosa. Dawniej wyobrażałam sobie to miejsce wiele razy, ale teraz w końcu dowiedziałam się jak ono wygląda. To było wspaniałe doświadczenie. Obok Teatru Globe znajduje się Galeria Tate. Zwiedziłam tam wystawę. Oglądanie obrazów Picassa, Dali i Warhola zrobiło na mnie wielkie wrażenie.

Dzisiaj zwiedzanie Londynu . Miałem okazję zobaczyć "O2Arena" Jest to największy kompleks sportowo-rozrywkowy położony w Greenwich . Ma największy na świecie dach w kształcie kopuły-namiotu . "O2Arena" posiada 30 różnych sal widowiskowych. Największa jest na 24 tys. Osób. Miałem szczęście, właśnie odbywała się gigantyczna wystawa pamiątek po Elvisie Presleyu. Podziwiać można było ponad 300 osobistych przedmiotów po Elvisie. Wśród nich znalazły się takie jak: różowy Cadillac i inne samochody i motocykle, klucze do majątku osobistego w Graceland, pierścień z diamentami, kostiumy, gitary, płyty z prywatnej kolekcji, fotografie z całego życia Presleya oraz prezentacje audio i video np. sesje nagraniowe, trasy koncertowe, fragmenty służby wojskowej, wywiady itp. Część z nich nigdy nie była pokazywana. Była to bardzo interesująca wystawa



Today it was the sightseeing of London. I had the opportunity to see the "O2 Arena". It is the largest sports and entertainment complex located in Greenwich. It has the largest roof in the world in the shape of dome-tent. The O2 Arena has 30 different performance halls. The largest is for 24000 people. A giant exhibition of memorabilia of Elvis Presley took place there. We could admire more than 300 personal items and memorabilia of Elvis. Among them there were such as: pink Cadillac and other cars and motorcycles, the keys to personal property in Graceland, ring with diamonds, costumes, guitars, recordings from a private collection, photographs of Presley`s life. Also audio and video presentations for example: recording sessions, concert tours, fragments of military service, interviews, etc. Some of them have never been shown. It was a very interesting exhibition.

Dla mnie Londyn to przecudne kompozycje kwiatowe....to oswojone szare wiewiórki....to sznury czerwonych autobusów i nieustanna "rzeka " ludzi w przeróżnych strojach i z przeróżnymi zachowaniami.....to obecna na każdym kroku architektoniczna wspaniała historia tego miasta...

London is for me miraculous flower arrangements. There are tame, grey squirrels, there are strings of red buses and crowds of people in different outfits and in various styles of life. It is also splendid architecture of this city present at every step.

Wszystkie odwiedzane miejsca były ciekawe i niezwykłe, ale Londyn , który zobaczyliśmy po raz pierwszy zrobił na nas największe wrażenie. Mosty na Tamizie, monumentalne budowle, parki,pałace,ulice śródmieścia na których rosną drzewa (u na s większość wycięto),wspaniałe muzea które można zwiedzać za darmo, policjanci nie karzący mandatem ludzi przechodzących na czerwonym świetle- to wszystko było niezwykłe i odmienne od naszej rzeczywistości. Dla mnie jednak najbardziej fascynujący byli ludzie -
wielobarwny tłum różnych narodowości,żyjących obok siebie i zachowujących odrębność strojów ,jedzenia, zwyczajów.
Załączam kilka zdjęć które udało mi się zrobić i które najchętniej oglądam popijając herbatę - angielską oczywiście.
To hinduska para, grupa muzułmanek przy moście w Windsorze,para afrykańczykówz zakupami, ,chińska panna młoda i jej mąż.

All the visited places were intersting and unusual but London which we saw for the first time made the biggest impression on us. There were bridges on the Thames, monumental buildings, parks, palaces, streets in the city centre where the trees grow / in our contry most of them were cut out /, wonderful museums for free, policemen who allow to pass the street on the red light without paying a fine – it was all amazing and so diffrent from our reality. For me however, people were the most fascinating – this multicoloured crowd of different nationalities living side by side and conserving the individual outfits, food and customs.


I'm eclosing some photos which I managed to take and which I watch happily sipping the tea, of course English tea. There is a Hindu couple, Muslim group of girls at the bridge in Windsor, a coupe of Africans with shopping bags, a Chinese bride and her husband.

London is a city with an interesting history, full of monuments and museums as well as Queen Elisabeth's residence Buckingham Palace. It contrasts with glass houses from the 21st century which tower above the city.

I paid attention to skyscrapers that have arisen in recent years. Particularly the highest in the UK, designed by Renzo Piano - “The Shard”. (Magdalena)
Zwróciłam uwagę na wieżowiec, który powstał w ostatnich latach. Szczególnie, że jest najwyższy w Wielkiej Brytanii, zaprojekowany przez Renzo Piano – Skorupka.

Londyn - wibrujące niespożytą energią , najbardziej kosmopolityczne miasto świata.
Ma historię, skarby sztuki, własny styl i pewność siebie; tłok, brud, przemyślaną organizację i ciągły ruch….
Pracowita i rozrywkowa stolica odwiedzana co roku przez miliony turystów jest domem dla ludzi ze wszystkich zakątków ziemi.
Miasto magnetyczne, fascynujące, pełne dziwnych języków i zapachów, turbanów i chust….

Short reflection on my stay in London

London – vibrating endless energy the most cosmopolitan city in the world. It has an interesting history, treasures of arts, its own style and self-confidence of its inhabitants, hustle and bustle, dirtiness, good organization and permanent movement …
This hard-working and entertaining capital city is visited by millions of tourists every year. It is home to many people from all corners of the world.
It is a magnetic, fascinating city, full of strange languages and smells, turbans and shawls…

During the stay in Covent Garden I found a while to glance at famous Royal Opera House where so many famous artists performed. They allowed me also take some photos in foyer.
